This
room is now used as a dining room but in Robert
Burns day this was the hub of the Globe Inn, as
this would be where all the cooking would take
place and the ale or porter would also be brought
up from the cellar by the door in the corner.
Still in place but not used are the old range
with its sways for regulating the cooking pots,
and the hooks on the ceiling for hanging smoked
meats, etc.
Through
another low doorway with a curved door we enter
the Burns Room
